Escaped Monroe prisoner apprehended

MONROE – On Monday night, Seattle Police caught up with a prisoner who escaped from the Monroe prison on Friday.
They found him in the Beacon Hill Neighborhood of Seattle.
They had found the GMC Sierra truck he stole the night prior.
Patrick Lester Clay, 59, (DOC 908566) appears to had escaped by breaking into a staff office during routine maintenance cleaning and stealing the keys to the staff members car which Clay then drove off grounds.
Clay had a release date of December 24, 2025, for convictions from King County for counts of burglary, malicious mischief, harassment and theft.
