MONROE -- State Route 522 is blocked well before entering Monroe. It was a high-speed head-on collision between two cars east of Fales Road and west of the Snohomish River bridge on the highway, Snohomish Regional Fire and Rescue spokesman Peter Mongillo said. Three people were in the two vehicles. All three have been extracted and are advanced life support patients.
Teams of firefighters from Snohomish County traveled to the Los Angeles area last week to help fight the multiple, vast and deadly wildland fires blazing there.
