Donald Jacob Keck
March 3, 1942 - September 13, 2024
On September 13, 2024, Donald Jacob Keck, formerly of Startup, WA, passed away at the age of 82 in Newport, WA.
Donald (Don) was born on March 3, 1942 in Snohomish, WA. After graduating from Sultan High School, he went on to work in several places including the Seattle-Snohomish Lumber Mill before finally working for Boeing for several decades, from where he proudly retired.
Don was a kind, friendly man to all he came in contact with. Like his father, no one was a stranger to Don. He loved a good laugh and always dished out a gentle ribbing to keep you on your toes. One of his greatest pleasures was lingering over a cup of coffee with his friends and playfully teasing the waitresses at the Dutch Cup Restaurant. In addition to being a hard worker and good provider for his family, Don was a life-long faithful member of Grace Fellowship Church, formerly known as Startup Baptist Church.
Don was preceded in death by his wives Beverly Renchler and Kristie Miser; his brother Leander Keck; and his parents Jacob and Elizabeth Keck. He is survived by his son Dean Keck and his family (Kathleen Keck, Casey Keck, Grace Keck, and Jodi Craig); his daughter LaLani Green and her family (Steven Green, Michael Green and Jacob Green); his nephews Stephen Keck and David Keck; and his cousin, Janice Gruhn.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 12th at Grace Fellowship Church located at 14030 Sultan Basin Road, Sultan, WA 98294. A reception will follow.
