Mike was the only child of “Papa Roy” and “Nana Jean,” but had cousins galore. He was born in Machias, WA. He lived in a cabin without water until he was 5 years old when they moved to Snohomish.
He was a strong, independent man with good humor and never shied away from hard work or hard play. He lived by his own choices and was very good at not “shoulding” others.
He lived in Snohomish County his entire life. Eight of those years on a yacht in the Everett harbor.
He was born an entrepreneur. He started and managed (with varying degrees of success) 22 different enterprises starting with service stations to real estate and developing, and finally ending with the Lochsloy Store, located in downtown Lochsloy.
He was a unique combination of outgoing and private. He lived the last 28 years in a home he designed and built next to where his parents lived in Snohomish. He loved his seclusion and enjoyed many years with minimal outside contact. He passed at his home peacefully in the early morning with his son Michael at his side.
Mike was preceded in death by his infant son Chris Dean Woolworth. He is survived by his spouse Haunani Kama-kana; his sons Michael Brian Woolworth, Merlan Scot Woolworth; his grandchildren Jonathan Moe (Woolworth and Taryn Proudsworth (Woolworth).
