Charles (Tom) Green

Charles Thomas Green (92) of Sultan Wa, passed away on November 14th, 2024. He was a beloved father, husband, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Tom was born on June 12th, 1932, in Jamestown, ND, to his parents Charles Green and Evelyn Schneider. He attended Ballard/Roosevelt High school and then joined the Airforce from 1951-1955. He married his sweetheart Delores (Dolly) Johnson on January 6th, 1956, in Ballard, Washington. Tom’s motto of “work hard at the job you have and it’ll lead to the next thing,” didn’t lead him astray. His career took him to multiple fields of work; he excelled at and enjoyed them all. He worked at: Alpha Cine Labs, owned the Sportsman’s Restaurant, started and sustained a local Blueberry Farm, and ended his career as a Real Estate Agent. Danny Abad

Danny Abad, a proud veteran of The United States Navy, passed away on August 19, 2024 from malignant mesothelioma. The son of Segundo P. Abad and Rosita Sgsaway, Chief Abad grew up in Babasit, Manaoag,Pangasinan Philippines. He was born December 17. 1947 and completed high school in the Philippines. At the age of 18, Chief Abad enlisted in the United States Navy. He valued this service highly and attained the rank of Chief Petty Officer as a GSEC. As part of this service, he served in the Vietnam War, obtained several Good Conduct Metals, National Defense Service Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation. Chief Adad is survived by his wife Ruth Abad, daughters Rosemary Shepherd, Rebecca Careaga, Rowena Abad and Veronica Reyes as well as 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by father Segundo Abad, mother Rosita Agsaway, brothers Ramon Abad, Godofredo Abad, Marciso Abad and grandson Joseph Dominto Careaga. …

Michael Ray Woolworth

Mike was the only child of “Papa Roy” and “Nana Jean,” but had cousins galore. He was born in Machias, WA. He lived in a cabin without water until he was 5 years old when they moved to Snohomish. He was a strong, independent man with good humor and never shied away from hard work or hard play. He lived by his own choices and was very good at not “shoulding” others. He lived in Snohomish County his entire life. Eight of those years on a yacht in the Everett harbor. He was born an entrepreneur. He started and managed (with varying degrees of success) 22 different enterprises starting with service stations to real estate and developing, and finally ending with the Lochsloy Store, located in downtown Lochsloy. He was a unique combination of outgoing and private. He lived the last 28 years in a home he designed and built …

Joy Ann Woodward

Joy Ann Woodward She was born Joy Ann Rhodes on July 17, 1943 in Seattle Washington. She is the daughter of Elmer G. Rhodes & Caroline J. Rhodes and sister to Judy K. Ruark. Joy grew up in the north Seattle area. Joy became birthday buddies with Disneyland on her 12th birthday, July 17, 1955 when Disneyland had its grand opening. Conveniently she had family in southern California and so began a lifelong love for Disney. She went to Roosevelt High School where she met her future husband Robert James Woodward. She was petite to say the least. As our dad told the story, she weighed about 98 pounds in high school and when he took her out to dinner for the Sr. prom they shared a 64 oz steak, she ate about two bites, and he ate the rest.
