Roger Burton, age 62 passed away peacefully on Sunday April 21st 2024.
He was born in Alpena, Michigan and moved to Washington state with his family in 1967. He was a wonderful piano player and was a member of the Northwest Boy choir in his younger years, that toured Europe.
He was a member of the graduating class of 1980 at Marysville Pilchuck High school. He loved his school and town. He attended WSU and Everett Community College where he received his Accounting Degree. He would always say GO COUGS! And greet you with a smile and a “How ya’ doin’?” He was Mr. Marysville; he loved helping out in the Strawberry Festival parades when younger and watching the Marysville Pilchuck football games. He enjoyed watching the Mariners and Seattle Seahawks. He would go to Marysville Buzz Inn every Seahawk game to watch and enjoy their chicken wings.
He owned and was proud of his own accounting business called Burton & Associates.
He enjoyed going to the Oregon dunes or Walker Valley with his friends and family riding ATV’s. He also loved the water and boating. He enjoyed crabbing and just enjoying being on the water in his boat.
He will be loved and missed by his two daughters Ashley and Alex. As well as his six grandchildren he loved and adored, his mother Shirley, 5 siblings and many, many friends and extended family! He will be missed but is finally at peace along with his father, Fred.
We want to thank the staff at Heritage Court for their love and care for Roger in his last days. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated as this cause is near and dear to us all.
Roger Dodger will be missed and never forgotten!
