L. June Seymour Gregory passed away peacefully at home with her daughters by her side on Thursday, June 20th, 2024. June was a legend in every way and lived to the amazing age of 100.
June was a treasured kindergarten and first grade teacher in the Bellevue School District for many decades.
She was a green-thumbed gardener, a world traveler and an incredible cook well into her 90’s. June was always caring, and she surprised nurses, doctors, and family with hilarious one-liners right up to the end.
June was married to Francis E Gregory, Jr. from 1946 until his death in 2002. They loved each other and family fiercely and enjoyed a life enriched by many long-time loyal friends.
When Frank passed away 20 years ago, June showed us how to grieve and then how to live life fully after heartbreak. June kept active, travelled, and eventually met a boyfriend (the very kind George Gilbertson, RIP). She worked at the Snohomish Visitor Center, and organized a yearly Class of ‘42 lunch reunion at her alma mater, Snohomish High School.
June was preceded in death by her daughter Elizabeth Gregory, her parents Henrietta and Eugene Seymour, her sisters Roberta Seymour and Betty Janssen. She leaves behind daughters Susan Temairik, Frances Cooper (Jim), granddaughters Jaime Temairik, Traci Turchin (Nic), Kelly Henry (Brian) and great-grandchildren William Turchin, Eloise Turchin and Frances June Henry.
We love you, Nana. You are forever in our hearts.
