Born in Moses Lake Washington – His early years were in the Ballard and North Seattle area, and the final school years in Snohomish.
After 3 years in the Navy, Scott’s career path leaned towards the food industry. Some of his favorite opportunities were on a seafood processor in Alaska for a number of years, and then a year in the Virgin Islands as lead cook on a yacht.
When he returned, he began driving trucks for different companies around the Seattle area. During this time, he met and married Noel. While that marriage didn’t last, he remained proud of the fact that their daughters, Haylee and Morgan, grew into strong, independent women. A fact he contributed to their mother.
An opportunity to work as a cook in Stehekin, the community on the north shore of Lake Chelan, drew him to the east side of the mountains. This is where he met Mellissa, who eventually became his second wife.
When the Stehekin contract ended Scott began driving Semi trucks for the orchards, delivering apples and cherries around the state. He loved the territory and culture around that industry. It was a defiant 5 -year battle with liver cancer that ended that career.
Scott leaves behind his daughters Haylee Fredrickson of Puyallup and Morgan Fredrickson of Seattle. His Mother and stepfather, Joy and Keith Olmsted of Winthrop. His sister Terri (Ken) of Portugal, his sister Lisa (Matt) of Virgina, and brother Todd (Wendy) of Monroe, along with nieces and nephews around the state and country.
Safe travels Scott, we’ll see you down the road.
