Mitchell (Mitch) Kim Huntley

At the age of forty-six, Mitchell Kim Huntley (Mitch) succumbed to the long-term effects of Congestive Heart Failure on Wednesday July 10, 2024, shortly after moving back to his childhood home in Snohomish from the Tacoma area where he lived for most of his adult life. Born to a Korean mother, and an American service member on September 14, 1977, in Boo Pyung, Korea, he and his half-sister, Maxie, became part of the Huntley family March 29, 1981. For many years Mitch and the whole family trained in Taekwondo, including attending, and competing in tournaments around the N.W. He earned his 2nd Degree Black-Belt before he was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma as a young teen. He fought hard for several years and with the assistance of some very strong chemotherapy came out the victor. Iris A. Gerber Kirstine

On Sunday, July 21, 2024, our beloved Mother, grandmother, and great (great) grandmother, Iris A. Kirstine, went to be with Jesus, her husband and son, who proceeded her in death. Her wisdom, guidance and the love for her family will be greatly missed. In her younger years, she lived in Monroe, WA and went to school in Sultan, WA. After marrying Walt, she enjoyed being a homemaker and raising their children. Later in life they were snowbirds in the winter time to their property in Dateland, AZ. Her life was full of fun adventures and travels with him. Iris is survived by her daughters, Roberta Ashburn (Mike Aldrich), Shirley Braxton (Bobby), and Sandi Johnson (Craig), her nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and two great great-grandchildren. Charles Clayton Heinitz

Charles Clayton Heinitz who was born September 14th, 1933, passed peacefully at the age of 90 on June 28th, 2024 with his family close. His wife Margaret “Peg” Prouty Heinitz proceeded his passing by 6 years, and he missed her every day. Charles, or Chuck, as he was known, was the father of Bradford, Victoria, and Justin. He is survived also by one brother, many cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as 3 grandchildren. During his years he was a small business owner, a painter, pre-hung doors and pre-finished cabinets. He was most proud of his years in the Navy, and never missed a chance to thank others for their service. His keen sense of humor and engaging conversations will be missed. He and Margaret are to be placed at rest at Tahoma National Cemetery.
