Glacier Peak Grizzly senior Jo Lee arcs his shot over the Kamiak Knights defense of #23 senior Milan Hennatian, and #5 junior Aaron Pierre during the Grizzlies’ strong 74 - 48 win on Tuesday, Jan. 7 at Glacier Peak’s home court. The Grizzlies led the entire game with good defense under the net, strong rebounding and three-point shooting. The Knights were held to 7 points for the first period, and couldn’t catch up later.

The Glacier Peak Grizzlies fared reasonably well at the state basketball tournaments held in the Tacoma Dome.
4A Boys
No. 3 Glacier Peak Grizzlies ended up No. 3 in the standings with a 49-41 win in the semifinals over West Valley Saturday. The team had fallen into a consolation category after No. 1 Gonzaga Prep dunked them 62-50 on Friday on their way to winning the 4A Championship. Glacier Peak had wrapped the No. 5 Camas Papermakers with a 44-42 final score in the quarterfinal rounds.
4A Girls
The No. 13-ranked Grizzly girls started to fashion a Cinderella story, winning over the No. 5 Union Titans from Vancouver 60-49 and then prevailing the No. 3 Chiawana Riverhawks of Pasco 64-62. No. 1 Davis dropped the Grizzlies on Friday, felling the team into the consolation semifinals to decide third and fifth. No. 4 Woodinville sped to an early lead which Glacier Peak tried to claw back, but ended 54-55. The loss placed Glacier Peak fifth in State.
