Glacier Peak vs. Lake Stevens girls basketball

In a rematch that may be a foreshadowing of the Wesco 4A Championship game, the Lake Stevens Vikings slipped by the Glacier Peak Grizzlies 56 - 51 on Friday, Jan. 24 on Glacier Peak’s home court.  
The Grizzlies led at the start of the fourth quarter,, 39 - 35, but the Vikings rallied during the final quarter.  Both teams were dropping 3-point shots and  the Vikings outscored the Grizzlies 21 - 12 in the decisive period.  The Vikings led in turnovers, 17 - 13, but the Grizzlies were more costly. With 3:31 left the score tied at 47 all.  At the 1:32 mark the Vikings edged ahead 53 - 49 on free throws and finished with the victory.
