Monroe Bearcat senior Halle Keller drives for a break-away jam in First Period play of the matchup between Everett and Monroe Friday, Jan. 3.
The Bearcat Varsity Girls outscored visiting Everett 39 - 17. The score was not even close to the play on the floor. The Seagulls worked on defense but was outflanked and outmaneuvered in the second period and had only 4 nets in the first half. Seagull junior Akilah Shaw delivered a game-high 8 for Everett.
Monroe Bearcat 6-foot-5 senior Aliyah Taylor got 12 nets. Taylor also scooped in eight rebounds and slammed four blocked shots in the match.
