The Monroe Bearcats beat Everett, 52 - 42 in the bookend to a Varsity double header. The Monroe girls won their game 39 - 17 over Everett that night.
Monroe’s boys team played a controlled and patient backcourt then dashed for the net and the score. The Seagulls ramped up their defense but this led to fouls turning 2-point shots into possible 4-point scores. Everett Seagulls senior Noah Parker led all scorers with 21 points. Monroe’s Kieren Greear tossed in 13 and Junior Chayce Waite-Kellar added 12.
