Homestead Park plan approved
SNOHOMISH — The City Council last week approved an adjusted Homestead Park master plan. It keeps the playground, 9-basket disc golf course and parking lot.
The historic barn is out of the picture. Restoring the barn didn’t pencil out when it came to a cost-benefit analysis, public works director Nova Heaton said. The thought was to restore it to be used as an event space or amphitheater.
A more finalized design could emerge later this decade.
Building the park could start 10 years out into the future, Heaton said.
