EVERETT — Five local credit unions in Everett are collecting goods for Dawson Place, the nonprofit center in Everett that helps child victims of physical and sexual abuse trauma.
Through April 30, the effort is seeking donations of items for teens, including: teen coloring books, fidget and stress relief toys, journals, fleece throw blankets, book sets, gel pens/art supplies, Play-Doh, Legos, duffel bags/backpacks, fun socks, soap and lotion sets, toiletry sets, hand warmers, and winter clothes. Gift cards (Amazon, teen clothing stores) and gaming cards (Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo) are also appreciated.
Drop these off at any branch of SnoCope Credit Union, Mill Town Credit Union, Mountain Crest Credit Union, Northwest Plus Credit Union, Community Health Credit Union, or Nordstrom Credit Union by the deadline.
The items will be delivered May 6 together with donations from the credit unions themselves. Last year, they raised $2,559 plus donated items.
