EVERETT — The City Council unanimously voted last week to bring back having a 12:30 p.m. meeting time for the fourth Wednesday of the month, as well as the fifth Wednesday when available.
The change begins Oct. 30, the fifth Wednesday of the month.
These meetings will be hybrid online, but council chambers will be open for people to speak in chambers.
The move may save the city money by not having staff members stay after the traditional workday to be available to answer council questions.
Council traditionally meets at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays in the council chambers at 3002 Wetmore Ave.
The council might adjust and consolidate its weekly subcommittee schedule as a future move. The subcommittee meetings start at 5 p.m.
