Glacier Peak junior Isaiah Owens jukes around the end on his way to 209 yards rushing and three touchdowns during the Glacier Peak Grizzlies’
27 - 0 win over the Snohomish Panthers under a threatening sky on Friday, Sept. 13 in Snohomish.
The first half was a penalty-filled struggle until the final 10 seconds when the Grizzlies struck with a
long run to score. The highlight of Snohomish’s evening was when the Snohomish defense held a fine goal line stand following a fumbled punt. Panthers QB David Hammer threw 89 yards, Mason Surdi caught for 74 and Brody Strandt ran for 98.
Glacier Peak has continued its streak of winning the annual cross-town rivalry game for the battle for the Dick Armstrong Cup, named for the tough Snohomish High football coach.
