Monroe installing safety flashers at six pedestrian crosswalks

MONROE — Flashing beacons with yellow strobes that light up when activated have begun being installed. Six are to be posted.

These include the roundabout on Main Street near the high school and on west Main Street near Monroe Christian School. Four other locations include on Main Street near Frank Wagner Elementary, on Kelsey Street near Walmart, and the midblock crosswalk at the YMCA on Fryelands Boulevard.
