MONROE — Detailed muralist David Hose is one of the Sky Valley’s most recognized artists. His latest work will be displayed inside the future Monroe City Hall.

Last week, Mayor Geoffrey Thomas and the City Council honored Hose with a public recognition.

Look around downtown for his large murals. Hose painted the scene on the side of the Monroe NAPA Parts House, the beefy cars on Northwest Differential’s wall, and a riverside look on the wall facing the railroad tracks at Bliss Yoga (N. Lewis Street).

In downtown Snohomish, his prominent mural honoring veterans is on the outside wall of the American Legion.

He’s painted scenes in Sultan, too, and made the small vignettes that were found inside the former Hitching Post Cafe on Monroe’s Main Street.
