To the Editor:
Learning that Mary chose not to seek endorsements for public office was both surprising and inspiring.
During our conversation, it became clear that she represents a new era of judges dedicated to true judicial independence. Mary emphasized that judges must make decisions based solely on the law and facts without fear of political repercussions. She posed a thought-provoking example: if a mayor endorsed her but was being sued for violating a constitutional right, how could she remain impartial? This concern for the integrity of the judiciary and the optics of political endorsements is a testament to her principled nature.
I respect her commitment to doing what is right and her determination to remain free from political influence. Mary’s fresh perspective is exactly what we need in our judiciary.
We need judges who think differently and challenge the status quo. Join me in supporting a candidate who prioritizes impartiality and community integrity!
