In post-season play the Snohomish Panthers and the Everett Seagulls played a “to and fro” match across the Panthers’ home net on Tuesday, Nov. 12. At left, senior Tyler Gildersleeve-Stiles flips a shot over the net.
Panther junior Heidi Chambers made several defensive blocks, and had 17 kills and 16 digs in the match. The Everett Seagulls led the opening scoring but the Panthers came together late in the first game to win 25 - 20. In the second game the Seagulls flew into action late in the duel, putting at least 6 straight points on the board to win 23 - 25. The third game went 31 - 29. The Panthers wrapped the evening in the fourth game 25 - 17. Everett sophomore Ava Urbanozo had 33 assists and 16 digs for her team.
Snohomish is advancing to State. Everett came just shy after a last-round loss.
