The Lake Stevens Vikings sailed to a 10 - 0 lead by the second inning of a game Wednesday, March 20 at Monroe, picking a 17 - 4 win by the end of the game.
The Vikings used strong hitting, loading the bases several times and took advantage of “walk in” runs to beat the Monroe Bearcats in regulation innings under a darkening sky in Monroe. The Monroe bats awakened in the fifth for four runs, but to little effect.
