EVERETT — WSDOT will be painting the I-5 Snohomish River Bridge, which extends over Marine View Drive in Everett, and will close southbound Marine View Drive after the southbound I-5 on-ramp. The closure starts March 13 and runs until mid-April.
While crews are painting the north half of the bridge over the roadway, northbound traffic will shift to the southbound lanes for safety. When workers shift to paint the south half of the bridge, the northbound lane will remain open.
If you get off the freeway at Marine View Drive, you’ll still be able to turn east or west.
The bridge was last painted in 1978.
