Snohomish vs. Lake Stevens boys basketball

The Vikings won 50 - 46 over Snohomish, but the game was not as close as the score might tell.  The Vikings’ tough defense often had 4 men under the Snohomish hoop elbowing for rebounds.  The Panthers spent the first period making passes in the back  court leading to  turnovers trailing 11 - 16.  They caught up in the second quarter with a 20 - 20 tie at the half.  Lake Stevens played strong offense in the third, scoring 15 - 7 and held off a Fourth Period Panther surge with continued strong defense combined with  three point baskets to take the game. Panther junior Hudson Smith  and teammate Deyton Wheat totaled for 29.
