Cali’s homer in the third was one of three the Sox hit in that inning and four in the game. Michael Arroyo, Freuddy Batista and Jared Sundstrom all belted homers along with Cali. Action was halted for nearly an hour in the fifth inning as heavy rain and hail delayed the game.
The Sox took five wins of six games against Tri-City in the series. This week, the Sox (23-25 second half, 54-59 overall) take to the road for two weeks: First Vancouver, then Eugene. The team returns to Everett Sept. 2. “Bark in the Park” night is Sept. 4 where fans can bring their dogs.
