SNOHOMISH — Admission fees at the Snohomish Aquatic Center will increase Sept. 1. The school board approved the rates July 24.
Example new rates are:
Open Rec Swim: $1.50 increase to $9 plus tax, or could buy a 10-visit pass for $81.
Open Lap Swim: From $6 plus tax for all to instead a split tier of $7 for adults or $6 for seniors, plus tax.
Water Fitness (Adult): From $10 per visit to $12 per visit. For seniors, 50-cent increase. Plus surcharge for insurance will go from $4.50 to $5 per visit.
The district said part of the cause is because of the increase in state minium wage and operations costs.
