Expert to speak on Fentanyl’s impacts to cities

LAKE STEVENS — Sam Quinones, a journalist and author who has spent years following the impacts of narcotics on communities, including the opioid epidemic, will be speaking at a public forum about Fentanyl on Thursday, Sept. 28 in Lake Stevens.
He’ll be having a free community discussion about responding to the fentanyl crisis and improving public safety. The event is sponsored by Mayors and Business Leaders for Public Safety, a coalition of Snohomish county governments, private businesses and individuals coming together to find innovative approaches to public safety issues.
The event will be held at The Commons at Cavelero Mid High, 8220 24th St SE, Lake Stevens.
