Everett’s Wintertide festival features events to do all December



EVERETT — The city will be ringing with caroling, cocoa, holiday greetings and Santa throughout December.
On Friday, Dec. 1, come caroling at Wetmore Plaza from 4:30 to 8 p.m. together with performers such as the Everett High School choir, a jazz band and more.
On Saturday, Dec. 2, the Port of Everett’s Holiday on the Bay will have a day’s worth of outdoor festivities noon to 6 p.m. (more details in Tribune Briefs).
On Sunday, Dec. 3, run in the Holiday on the Bay 5K, a new event that starts at 9 a.m. sharp. To register, go to www.tinyurl.com/port5k
On Friday, Dec. 8, from 4-7 p.m. come to The Village on Casino Road, 14 E. Casino Road, for warm drinks, music and storytelling.
On Saturday, Dec. 9, the Carl Gipson Center, 3025 Lombard Ave., hosts a day’s worth of music at its winter event 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Dec. 16 will be the downtown Winter Cookie Crawl. Dec. 17 will be a gingerbread house contest at the Everett Mall (must reserve kit in advance).

On Saturday, Dec. 2, Geoffrey Castle’s Celtic Christmas happens at 7:30 p.m. at the Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave. Tickets start at $30 through www.historiceveretttheatre.org
The Nutcracker comes to the Everett Performing Arts Center, 2710 Wetmore Ave. on Dec. 8, 9 and 10. See www.olympicballet.org and click on “Performance Season” for details. Tickets range from $27 to $45
Navy Band Northwest's free Home for the Holidays Concert will be Dec. 15 at the Everett Performing Arts Center.
Also, on Thursday, Dec. 7, The Everett Chorale sings carols in the Everett Mall from 5-6 p.m.
The decorated tree went up above Hewitt and Colby a couple of weekends ago.
