SNOHOMISH — A fire broke out at Furniture World, 1010 Second St,. just after midnight Saturday, June 24. Fire District 4 reported flames were racing up the exterior of the building when fire engines arrived.
A fast response and the building’s sprinkler system helped prevent further damage, FD4 batallion chief Craig Heike wrote.
Uppercase Bookshop next door faced a temporary interruption. The fire created a power outage requiring repair, they told customers.
The county fire marshal’s office is investigating the fire’s cause.
