Everett Fourth of July parade returns, fireworks at night

EVERETT —  A patriotic parade will occur at 11 a.m. through downtown. Volunteers have revived the parade after the city ceased funding.
The parade route starts at 25th Street & Colby Avenue, travels South to Wall Street, turns left onto Wall Street to Wetmore Ave. It’ll go right at Wetmore Avenue and return north to 25th Street.
Get a seat earlier than the parade start: The Seattle Cossacks Motorcycle Stunt & Drill Team will be performing at 10:45 a.m.
Parking will be limited, organizers say. If you skip paying for parking and get into downtown by bus, a free shuttle from Everett Station will transport you downtown.

Festival, fireworks later that day
Fireworks will be lighting up Port Gardner Bay that evening. The 20-minute show launches at 10 p.m. Viewing spots are plentiful in north Everett. The city suggests Grand Avenue Park, Legion Park, the Port of Everett or, from a distance, Harborview Park.
People are encouraged to come that afternoon to Legion Park for a festival at the park starting at about 3 p.m. which will have live music, food trucks and a beer garden. Parking is prohibited there, but people can park at Everett Community College and catch an arranged bus just outside of the Walt Price Fitness Center on Tower Street.
