Weeklong SR9 closure in Lake Stevens to build roundabout starts June 21

LAKE STEVENS — Northbound and southbound State Route 9 in Lake Stevens will close June 21-28 for the construction of a second
two-lane roundabout near the SR 9—SR 204 intersection.
Between 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, and 5 a.m. Wednesday, June 28, SR 9 will be closed between SR 204 and Lundeen Parkway.
During the closure:
• Southbound SR 9 traffic must turn at Lundeen Parkway, though northbound vehicles will be allowed on SR 9 north of the new roundabout at Vernon and Davies roads.
• The roundabout at Vernon and Davies roads will be open to eastbound and westbound traffic.
• SR 204 will close east of 91st Avenue Northeast.
• Local businesses remain open and can be accessed from city streets, including the newly completed SR 9 roundabout at Vernon and Davies roads. Contractor crews completed the first two-lane roundabout June 8.
