Evergreen Arboretum lit up all December with winter lights

EVERETT —  Evergreen Arboretum and Gardens has transformed into a mesmerizing winter wonderland. Wintertide Lights invites the community to experience the magic of the season through an enchanting display of lights and engaging activities.
This free event promises an enchanting walk in the Arboretum, with volunteers going the extra mile to illuminate trees, bushes, and pathways. This year, the spotlight is on luminaries, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience.
The Arboretum, at 145 Alverson Boulevard in Everett, is open for Wintertide Lights from 4 to 8 p.m. every day of December.
Wintertide Lights began in 2020 as a response to the pandemic, embodying its mission to be inspirational, educational, and accessible. Every year, volunteers strive to exceed expectations, adapting to the changing landscape of nature.
This year’s event will include a gazebo luminary installation by artist Cindy Morris.
As a special treat, a Solstice Luminary Walk will take place on Thursday, Dec. 21 from 6 to 7 p.m., with complimentary luminary bags and story time in the gazebo. Peggy Kurz will lead in song on the walk. She taught voice at Everett Community College and Trinity Lutheran College.
Wintertide Lights has been made possible through the generous support of the City of Everett, Snohomish County, Sunnyside Nursery and private donations.
