EVERETT — The COVID-19 mass vaccination site inside the Everett Mall is lately seeing on average 50 to 100 people a day come for a shot.
As of Feb. 6, nurses there have administered 3,057 vaccinations since the site opened Jan. 18. Of those, 2,041 were booster shots, state Department of Health spokeswoman Shelby Anderson said.
The site allows walk-in vaccinations, unlike other places which require appointments.
The Everett Mall site represents a small fraction of how many vaccinations are given on an average day in Snohomish County. During January, on average, 3,000 people a day were given a COVID-19 vaccine dose. It’s fallen to about 2,000 a day during February, publicly available DOH data shows.
For historical context, when vaccines became openly available to all April 15, upward of 7,000 county residents a day were receiving vaccinations.
The mall site is open 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday at 1402 SE Everett Mall Way, Everett.
