EVERETT — Visitors and residents are invited to Everett’s annual Wintertide, a multi-week community holiday celebration. The festivities begin on Nov. 27, Small Business Saturday, at a kickoff celebration in downtown Everett with local shopping promotions, a tree lighting ceremony, holiday music and Everett Makers Market.
“Wintertide is an opportunity for visitors and residents to enjoy fun, pandemic-safe holiday activities while supporting our local small businesses,” said Everett Mayor Cassie Franklin. “We hope to add a little more each year and provide a fun experience for all.”
New this year are additional holiday lights downtown, including 6-foot snowflakes over Colby Avenue which will be part of the lighting ceremony on Nov. 27. The Everett Arboretum will also feature additional light displays for the community to enjoy.
Multiple downtown businesses will offer special promotions and Everett Makers Market will host more than 45 vendors at three holiday markets on Nov. 27, Nov. 28 and Dec. 4. Free hot cocoa will be available while exploring downtown businesses on Small Business Saturday.
Also new is a community ice skating rink at Pacific Rim Plaza on the Everett waterfront from Nov. 27 through Jan. 31. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for children, and include the skate rental. Tickets are available for purchase online at www.portof

Community favorites like the Santa’s Neighborhood Cruises and virtual programs return this year. Throughout December, the Everett Fire Department will drive Santa around city neighborhoods in a fire truck to wave at families. The Everett Public Library and Imagine Children’s Museum will offer their popular home-based holiday activities for families while events at The Village on Casino Road and the Village Theatre are planned throughout the month.
