Public fireworks shows, Fourth of July concert events are back for Everett and Snohomish County




EVERETT —  Fireworks shows and concerts are back to let this Fourth of July ring.
The City of Everett is putting on a 22-minute fireworks show with several viewing locations.
• Legion Memorial Park— Everett’s primary location for the show, Legion Memorial Park has no parking during the event. Free parking and shuttle service from Everett Community College’s Walt Price Fitness Center on Tower Street is available.
• Grand Avenue Park — Overlooking the waterfront, Grand Avenue Park offers easy access to the Port of Everett via the pedestrian bridge and is a popular firework viewing location.
• Port of Everett— The Port of Everett is the closest location you can get to the fireworks show. There is a $5 special event parking fee. Free parking is available near Grand Avenue Park by the pedestrian bridge.
• Harborview Park— Despite its distance from the fireworks, Harborview Park offers an excellent view of the show. The location makes it less congested than the other parks. However, there is limited parking and no restrooms.
The soundtrack for the event can be heard on KXA FM 101.1 and AM 1520.

Everett’s July Fourth festival
Preceding the fireworks is the July Fourth festival, featuring live music, adult drinks, food trucks and child-friendly activities at LegionMemorial Park.
Music starts at 3 p.m. with Peter Ali, followed by LeRoy Bell at 4:30 p.m., Zan Fiskum at 6 p.m. and The Stacy Jones Band at 8 p.m.
There is no parking at the event. A free shuttle is available from Everett Community College to Legion Memorial Park every five minutes. The shuttle picks up at the Walt Price Fitness Center on Tower Street and drops off at the north end of Legion Memorial Park. Masks are required on the shuttles.
A beer garden sponsored by Everett Music Initiative is located next to the stage.
Food trucks are being brought by: Smokin’ Dough, Paparepas, Scotsman Espresso, Zaytoona, Polish Cuisine on Wheels, Yay Big Ice Cream and Gip’s Down-home BBQ.
This is an all-ages event.

Everett Music Initiative’s Rock the Fourth
Rock the Fourth at Boxcar Park has live music and a beer garden with a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and is the closest you can get to the fireworks.
Headlining the event is the band Nite Wave, joined by Petty or Not. The opening act is Road Trip.
Bring your own chairs and masks. No Coolers are allowed. This event is for adults ages 21 and older.
Doors open at 5 p.m. Fireworks start in the bay at 10:15 p.m. Event parking at the Port of Everett is $5.
Advance tickets are available at www.everettmusicinitiative.com for $30, or $40 at the door.

Yankee Doodle Dash
This year’s 22nd annual Yankee Doodle Dash will be the first from the new Everett Y on Colby Avenue.
The 5k run starts at 8 a.m., with socially distant rolling waves assigned. The Family 1-Mile run starts once all 5k runners have started.
Registration fees are $35 for the 5k and $30 for runners under 18. The 1-Mile run costs $20.
Masks are required at packet pick-up and in the start and finish areas but are not necessary while running.

Delta Neighborhood car parade and community picnic
On July 4, the Delta Neighborhood hosts a decorated car parade, live music, food trucks and a community picnic at Sen. Henry M. Jackson Park at 1700 State St, Everett.
The event starts at 10 a.m. with car decorating. The parade begins at 11 a.m. from Senator Henry M. Jackson Park

Where are fireworks legal for personal use?
Numerous municipalities, such as Everett, have fireworks bans. New this year, the fire service area for South Snohomish Fire also ban fireworks.
The cities of Edmonds, Mill Creek and Mukilteo also have fireworks bans.
Fireworks are allowed to be used in unincorporated Snohomish County, except now in the fire coverage area of South Snohomish Fire, at certain time windows. People can use fireworks from 9 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. just on July 4.
Within Snohomish city limits, the time limit is from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on July 4.
In Monroe and Lake Stevens, you can set off fireworks from 9 a.m. to midnight on July 4.
