SNOHOMISH COUNTY — Community Transit and Everett Transit are providing free trips to vaccination appointments for paratransit customers.
These can be to any walk-in location such as a doctor’s office, health clinic or pharmacy. They also will give rides to the walk-in indoor vaccination clinic near Boeing that opened last week (see story below.)
They are not transporting customers to appointments to the drive-through sites in Monroe and Arlington, Community Transit confirmed.
People can arrange up to four free trips: One
trip there and one trip back for the first vaccine dose, and one more round of trips for the second dose.
To make a Community Transit appointment, call its DART program at 425-347-5912.
For Everett Transit paratransit services, call 425-257-8801.
Paratransit eligibility requirements apply, and you must have an appointment scheduled to use the free trip service.
Walk-in vaccine site opens near Boeing
EVERETT — A mass vaccination site opened last week at the Boeing Everett Activity Center (6400 36th Ave. W.). It replaces the Paine Field drive-up, which has been suspended and its resources moved to the Boeing vaccine site. People who received their first dose at the Paine Field site will have their second dose appointment at the Boeing site, officials said. The Boeing site is using Moderna vaccines.
Countywide, more than 53,700 people have received at least one dose of vaccine, and more than 8,400 people are known to have both doses as of the latest available data from Jan. 31.
Vaccine supplies continue to run out because of demand.
