Marci Larsen selected as new Monroe Schools superintendent

MONROE — The Monroe School Board on Thursday selected Marci Larsen, the former longtime superintendent of the Mukilteo School District, to be Monroe's interim superintendent for the 2022-2023 school year. The selection is pending finalizing a contract.
Larsen was Mukilteo's superintendent from 2003 until retiring at the end of 2019.
The board's unanimous decision came after two hours of private deliberation, with no comments before adjourning.
The board conducted interviews with Larsen and two other finalists, Marcus Pimpleton, the current Executive Director of Secondary Schools for the Marysville School District, and Sheldon Rosenkrance, the former school district superintendent of Estes Park, Colorado who flew up for the interview.
