Dr. Parker’s criminal sentencing length may be challenged
SNOHOMISH — Dr. Ken Parker, the former chiropractor in Snohomish, has been sentenced to 2½ years of incarceration.
On Friday, April 1, Judge Karen Moore sentenced Parker for 7.5 months for each of four felony counts of taking indecent liberties with patients, a law clerk said.
It is a longer term than what either the state or defense sought when they negotiated to seek a bench trial. Parker’s defense attorney might file a motion for the judge to reconsider the sentence length. That is almost expected, a paralegal in the prosecutor’s office said Friday. If he does, a motion hearing to address that is tentatively scheduled for April 22.
Fifteen or more women came forward in a 2021 police investigation led by the Snohomish Police Department.
Separately, two civil tort lawsuits filed by patients about Parker inappropriately touching them sues both Parker and the chiropractic clinic he was working for.
