Vehicle thieves apprehended in Snohomish

SNOHOMISH — On the evening of Sunday, Jan. 30, deputies responded to an armed robbery in the 9600 block of 32nd Street SE in Lake Stevens. The victim and her husband had pulled into the parking lot of a business and while the victim’s husband went inside, she remained in the vehicle. Moments later, a male opened her passenger door, pointed a gun at her chest and demanded she exit the vehicle. A second suspect got into the driver’s seat and the two suspects fled the scene in the victim’s Range Rover.
Deputies responded to Bickford Ave area in an attempt to locate the stolen vehicle. Upon entering the parking lot, deputies observed another stolen vehicle connected to an attempted robbery from earlier in the evening. The vehicle was driving recklessly without headlights. A short pursuit ensued before all five suspects fled from the vehicle on foot. Deputies located and apprehended all five.
One of the suspects, a 23-year-old male, had the carjacking victim’s Range Rover key fob in his pocket. He was arrested and booked into the Snohomish County Jail for taking a motor vehicle without permission.
Two juvenile suspects were identified as the two involved in the carjacking robbery of the Range Rover. Both suspects were transported to Denny Youth Center and booked for first-degree robbery.
A 20-year-old male had a felony warrant for first-degree robbery out of Seattle and was arrested and booked into the Snohomish County Jail for his warrant.
Another juvenile male was transported and released to his family member.
The stolen Range Rover was later recovered in the 3300 block of Bickford Avenue.
