Local Lions Club hosting kid’s peace-poster contest

EVERETT — The Everett Central Lions Club will be sponsoring the Lions International Peace Poster contest. It’s open to any student ages 11, 12 or 13 (as of Nov. 15, 2020).
This opportunity gives students the chance to express visions of peace. This year’s Peace Poster theme is “Peace Through Service” to others.
All submissions are due by Nov. 1, 2020 and must include a parental-signed registration form with the entry.
One entry per student.
The contest is open to any individual youth, as well as school, church or group organizations.
Artwork must not be smaller than 13-inches-by-20-inches and no larger than 20-inches-by-24-inches on flexible poster board material.
All media is accepted. Charcoal, chalk, and pastel entries must use fixative spray to prevent smearing.
No 3-D entries, meaning nothing glued or attached to the artwork.
No use of lettering, numbering or any language can be used in the artwork. The artist’s signature can be placed on the back of the poster only.
Local cash prizes are available for the first, second and third place posters. Other prizes include a $5,000 grand prize from Lions Club International that includes a trip for him or her and parents or guardians to receive the prize.
