William SasseWilliam (Bill) Sasse
February 28, 1925-July 10, 2016

William (Bill) Sasse passed away July 10, 2016 – he was born February 28, 1925 to Gus and Molly Sasse in Bellingham.
After his graduation, Bill enlisted in the Navy and was a submariner during WWII - his whole life, he was extremely proud to be a veteran. He was also a long-time member of the American Legion the Elks Club. He worked at Boeing for 42 years, retiring in 1988. He loved to read, garden, travel and his favorite hobby was building his model railroad systems and playing cards with “the girls” at Green Acres. But nothing was more important to him than his family.
He is survived by his long-time partner and love of his life Elizabeth Anderson – they enjoyed traveling together by both land and sea, having been through the Panama Canal and twice to Alaska by cruise ship. He is also survived by his daughter Ruth, granddaughter Heather and great-grand daughter Madeline of Texas; his daughter Johnette and her husband Bob of Lynnwood, his grandson David and his husband Steve of Seattle, and granddaughter Gina of Phoenix.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years Betty Rash and also his son James Toti and wife Merrilyn. He had several other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews who he loved and of whom he was proud.
Bill was a great companion, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend to many. He lived a full and happy life and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. There will be a Celebration of Life honoring Bill at the Clubhouse in Green Acres Mobile Home Park in Bothell (23825-15th Ave SE) Saturday, August 20 from 12-4PM. All are welcome to attend.
